Robert Bruggeman, 65, of Arnold died Tuesday afternoon (June 20) in a one-car accident on Jeffco Boulevard near Dohack Drive in Arnold, according to Arnold Police.
At 1:25 p.m., Bruggeman was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry south on Jeffco Boulevard and while he was approaching Dohack Drive, he failed to negotiate a curve and the car ran off the left side of the road, where it struck a tree, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
He was taken by Rock Township Ambulance District to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, where he was pronounced dead, Jones said.
He said it’s possible Bruggeman had a medical condition that may have contributed to the accident.
Bruggeman was not wearing a seat belt, Jones said.
