Michael Jones, 32, of Arnold died from injuries he sustained the evening of Oct. 26, when he was walking along Tesson Ferry Road in south St. Louis County and was struck by an SUV, St. Louis County Police report.
At 7:20 p.m., the SUV was headed north on Tesson Ferry north of Towne South near St. Anthony’s Medical Center and struck Jones, who was trying to cross the road, walking from the west toward the east side of the road. Jones was wearing all dark clothing, and he was not walking in a crossing at a traffic light or at a crosswalk, the report said.
Jones was taken to an area hospital but later died from his injuries, according to the report.
The driver remained on the scene following the accident and cooperated with police, the report said.
On Monday (Oct. 30), the accident was still under investigation, St. Louis County Police reported.
