A Farmington teenager was seriously injured Tuesday, Oct. 25, in a two-vehicle accident at Hwy. 67 and Baisch Drive southeast of De Soto, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
At 7 p.m., Emily A. Keener, 36, of Farmington was driving north in a 2006 Ford 500 car when she lost control of the vehicle and struck the rear of a northbound 1990 International 4900 tractor-trailer driven by Robert T. Paszkiewicz, 44, of Arnold, the report said.
A 13-year-old girl was a passenger in the car and was seriously injured and taken by Joachim-Plattin EMS to St. Louis Children's Hospital, the report said.
Both drivers and the teen were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.
The Ford was totaled, and the truck had minor damage, the report said.
The patrol did not release the teen’s name because she is a juvenile.
