Four people were hurt, including two children, in a three-vehicle accident Aug. 4 on Hwy. 110 at Fountain City Road in De Soto.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Latonya Ruff, 47, of Imperial was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze west on Hwy. 110 at 8:29 a.m. when her vehicle was struck by a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Robert Pennock, 80, of De Soto that was southbound on Fountain City Road but had failed to yield the right of way. The Equinox then hit a 2010 Cadillac SRX driven by Pamela Yochim, 58, of De Soto that was headed north on Fountain City Road.
Pennock sustained serious injuries while Ruff and two children who were passengers in her vehicle, an 8-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl, both from Imperial, all suffered moderate injuries. All were taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis, the report said.
Updates on their conditions were not available.
No injuries were reported for Yochim.
The patrol does not release the names of juveniles involved in traffic accidents.
All involved in the accident except for Ruff were wearing seat belts, the report said. All three vehicles had extensive damage, according to the report.
