Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos followed up another week of shows on Live With Kelly and Mark with a special family trip.
“We had a beautiful family event this weekend. The first in the next generation of Consueloses has gotten married,” Ripa announced on the Monday, May 18, episode of Live. “Our nephew, Alec, got married to his beautiful fiancée, Deanna [Taylor].”
The “stunning” Italian wedding took place in Tuscany. “Mark, I have to say, you win the Uncle of the Year Award because you spent more hours on the plane than at the wedding,” Ripa quipped.
Consuelos is currently starring in the Broadway play Fallen Angels. “I flew after my show Thursday night, landed Friday morning, went to the wedding, and then Saturday morning, I was back on a plane,” he detailed. “I just missed a couple shows, but I was back on stage Saturday night, which was great.”
Ripa went on to show photos from the wedding weekend, including a sweet snap of the bride and groom sharing a kiss at their rehearsal dinner. “It’s the one picture I got of them that’s actually a clear photo,” she joked. “And that’s Lola’s hand capturing the same exact photo. So, we both had the great idea.” (Ripa and Consuelos share three kids — Michael, Lola, and Joaquin.)

In another photo, Ripa and Consuelos sat alongside Lola and her boyfriend, Cassius Kidston, as well as Consuelos’s cousin Roxanne, at the ceremony. Ripa also shared a snap of the newlyweds with their wedding cake.
“Our son Michael served as a groomsman. There he is,” Ripa said as a photo of herself and Consuelos with their eldest son popped up on the screen. “And if you look at my hair, and you go, ‘Kelly, what happened to your hair?’ Well, Michael borrowed my hairspray because he said, ‘I promise I’ll give it back.’ He didn’t give it back, and so, there it is.”
The last wedding photo was a sweet snap of Consuelos and his brother, Mike, with their sons, Michael and Alec. “[It was a] great wedding. Beautiful,” Ripa gushed.
Missing from the photos was the couple’s youngest son, Joaquin, who is currently starring in Death of a Salesman on Broadway. While Consuelos took time off from his play to attend the wedding, it’s possible that Joaquin may have had to skip out due to his Broadway obligations.

Joaquin was recently responsible for Ripa’s Mother’s Day celebration. “He goes, ‘I thought it’d be fun if we had McDonald’s for your birthday,’” Ripa shared on the May 11 episode of Live. “And I said, ‘Uh, it’s not my birthday.’ And he goes ‘I mean Mother’s Day. You know what I mean.’ And so, we had McDonald’s. I had a Big Mac and large fries. It was so fun. I was like, ‘This is crazy.’”
Ripa was more than delighted with their unconventional Mother’s Day plans. “It was delicious. I had the best time,” she stated. “You know what cleanup was? Trash. Done. It was great.”
