On the heels of Monday’s news that they were relaunching Chris Hardwick’s “I Think You’re Overthinking Podcast,” AMC Global has announced that they are also reviving their after-show effort — much like Hardwick’s Talking Dead series — with The Vampire Lestat: After Dark.

Hosted by writer, producer and IMDb podcast host Lizzie Bassett (What Went Wrong), the release for the half‑hour companion series says it “will take fans behind the scenes of each weekly episode of The Vampire Lestat, featuring interviews with series cast and producers,” including of course, the power coven of stars Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson,  Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian and Delainey Hayles, along with Executive Producer and Immortal Universe guru Mark Johnson and EP/Showrunner Rolin Jones.

“We’re thrilled to introduce this must-watch companion show for The Vampire Lestat, a series that has truly captivated a loyal and passionate fan base,” says Ben Davis, EVP of scripted programming for AMC Global Media in the release. “After Dark is designed to enrich the viewing experience, with a deep dive into the lore of the show and behind-the-scenes insights from the cast and producers that pull back the curtain on the stories, characters and moments that define this upcoming season.”

Things will kick off with a preview episode on Sunday, May 24, when Bassett welcomes Reid, Anderson, Zaman, Hayles, Bogosian, Jones and Johnson to discuss the retitled third season, tease what fans can expect and share behind-the-scenes stories from the Toronto-based set.

But here’s the catch: While select episodes of The Vampire Lestat: After Dark will air on AMC, including the special preview episode and the July 19 season-finale post-mortem, the show will actually run on AMC+ when it officially bows on Sunday, June 7. Episodes drop weekly on Sundays on AMC+, then be available the next day on podcast platforms like Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube.
