Sara Oelzen of Festus said one of her family’s pets, Yoko, voices her feelings quite a bit.
Yoko is an 8-year-old Siberian husky.
“I would call her very quirky,” Oelzen said. “She does a lot of howling. She likes to howl and argue a lot. It’s just like she’s talking to us when we talk to her.”
Oelzen said her spouse came up with the dog’s name.
“My husband didn’t necessarily want a dog,” she said. “He named her Yoko because he said she’d ruin our family like Yoko ruined the Beatles. She did not ruin our family.”
Yoko gets along well with others.
“She’s great,” Oelzen said. “We got her when she was 8 weeks. She gets along with her little sister, a cat named Sybil.
“Yoko’s just a great addition to our family and we love her.”
