Winston was nattily attired when Ken Laswell of Cedar Hill took this photo of him during a special occasion in 2023.
“Winston served as grand marshal of a pet parade in Fort Myers, Fla.,” Laswell said. “It was a Bark in the Park Parade.”
Winston, an English bulldog, lived to the age of 12.
“He recently passed away,” Laswell said.
Winston left behind wonderful memories, he said.
“We absolutely loved Winston’s charismatic personality,” he said. “He loved people and always brought joy ands smiles to all who met him. To know him was to love him.”
Laswell would take Winston to see senior citizens.
“He loved to go to nursing homes wearing his little outfit,” he said. “We’d take him there so they could pet him. He lightened every heart.”
His family greatly misses Winston, Laswell said.
“Winston was very loving and playful – a jolly English bulldog,” he said. “He loved everybody. He was wonderful with other pets.”
