Yes, this dog has pitbull in him, Lisa Marshall said. She and her husband, Thomas, own Rowdy and live in Fenton.
“We did the DNA,” she said. “That’s not what we expected… 28-percent pitbull.”
Rowdy, 5, weighs “maybe 25 pounds,” she said, adding he also has shih tzu in the mix.
She said Rowdy is energetic.
“He’s a lot of fun,” Lisa said. “He’s very playful. He likes to play catch 24-7.”
He has to size people up before becoming their friend, she said.
“He needs to warm up to you,” she said. “Then, he’s OK.”
Rowdy quickly befriends other dogs, she said.
“He likes other dogs, especially big ones,” she said. “We go to the Arnold dog park all the time.”
Rowdy is a valued member of the family, Lisa said.
“He’s a really good dog,” she said. “He’s our best friend.”
