Kelly Hall of Festus said her family’s cat, Piper, is odd.
“She’ll play with the kids’ toys,” Hall said. “She’s not normal.”
Piper, a 5-year-old calico cat, distrusts those outside the family.
“She’s standoffish to strangers, but nice to those she knows,” Hall said.
But even within the household, Piper does not get along with everyone.
“She doesn’t like our other cat, Lucy,” Hall said. “I guess it’s because Lucy is just 1 year old. She (Piper) is like an old hag around Lucy. She may be jealous because Lucy’s prettier.”
Piper has one big fan in the house, though.
“Piper is my husband’s favorite,” Hall said.
