Oscar, a 1-year-old male domestic shorthair cat, has plenty of energy and curiosity, said his owner, Bj Hillermann of Eureka.
“He loves to chase anything and everything,” Hillermann said. “He’s very inquisitive. He’s very curious and very playful.”
Oscar was rescued from an animal shelter, Hillermann said.
“We adopted him from Open Door Animal Sanctuary (in House Springs). My daughter, Rylee, picked him out.”
Oscar is affectionate, Hillermann said.
“He loves to be in your lap. He loves up everybody he meets.”
The Hillermanns had not been a cat family until Oscar came into their lives, and the adoption has been a success, he said.
“This is our first venture into cats,” Hillermann said.
