Thomas Zacher of Fenton submitted this photo of his Siamese cat, Cheyenne, taken when the feline was 3 months old and fascinated by his own image in a mirror.
“He was looking at himself in the mirror and seemed confused,” Zacher said.
Cheyenne, now 16 years old, has seen his coat change color over the years.
“When he was young, he was white,” Zacher said. “As he got older, he became seal point. They have a tan and black coat.”
Cheyenne remains spry, Zacher said.
“He’s still doing well,” he said. “He’s still aggravating me and my wife.
“Siamese are cats that meow constantly. He’ll look at my wife and keep meowing until he gets his treat.”
