Kennedy Nelson of Imperial said her dog, Millie, an 8-year-old boxer-border collie mix, enjoys trips to Mastodon State Historic Site, although she has no desire to venture into the creek there.
“She loves the park, loves going on walks,” Nelson said. “She hates water. She doesn’t want to go in it.”
Millie can be lazy, but she has a number of interests, Nelson said.
“She’s very playful,” Nelson said. “She loves toys. She thinks anything you come home with is for her.”
Millie also is friendly, Nelson said.
“She loves people. She’s affectionate to people.”
