Charlie, a 15-year-old cat, remains on the ball, said his owner and Leader sales rep Kaylie Scarpati of Festus.
“He’s elderly, but very bright and attentive,” Scarpati said. “He’ll come if you whistle, like a dog.”
She said Charlie is affectionate.
“He’s very loving. He gets along with everyone, and everyone loves him. He gets along with our other three pets.”
Scarpati said she more or less stumbled upon Charlie and doesn’t know his breed.
“My cousin was moving into a house, and Charlie was there already,” she said. “He was in poor shape. We took him home.
“He’s a cherished member of the family.”
