Sue Wood said her 13-year-old mini dachshund, Hoover, wants people to focus on him.
“He’s very needy,” said Wood, who lives in Eureka. “He wants your attention. If you go into the living room, he goes to sit in the living room. He just follows us around wanting our attention.”
She said Hoover loves to sit in the sun.
“That’s one of his favorite things,” Wood said.
An older dog, he is not as active as he once was.
“He used to be able to run the deer off,” Wood said. “Now, he can only sit and bark.”
Hoover gets along well with others.
“He’s friendly with other pets and people,” she said. “We are very happy with Hoover.”
