Stella, a black golden doodle, wasn’t thrilled when Harlee, a yellow Lab, joined the family, but they have since grown close, said owner Megan Siracusa of Barnhart.

Harlee is 2 and Stella is 11.

“They get along well,” Siracusa said. “When we got Harlee two years ago, Stella was not crazy about it. Now that she realizes Harlee is here to stay, they get along a lot better.”

The dogs have contrasting personalities.

“Stella is very laid back,” she said. “Harlee is hyper, loves all the attention and always wants to cuddle.

They both enjoy their time in the family’s back yard.

“Stella loves to be outside, but lays in the grass,” Siracusa said. “Harlee loves running around the back yard and will run the fence line with our neighbor’s dogs.”

Stella and Harlee share one interest.

“Their favorite treat is Cheez-Its,” she said.
