Partin's English bulldog, Lola

Kristy Partin of Pevely sent in this photo of her family's English bulldog, Lola, sunning by a creek at the Mastodon State Historic Site in Imperial.

Kristy Partin of Pevely says her 8-year-old English bulldog is named Lola, but the family refers to her as “Momma,”

“She’s like a little old lady,” Partin said. “She’s so mellow. She just sits in her camouflage recliner. She likes to relax.”

Partin said this photo of Lola taken during a recent visit to Mastodon State shows her laid-back attitude.

“That’s her lying in the sun at Mastodon, down at the creek,” Partin said. “She likes lying in the sun.”

Partin said Lola, or “Momma,” is attached to her other two dogs.

“We have two pit bulls, a female named Sway and a male named Hunter,” Partin said. “They’re her best friends.”

Lola gets along with everybody, Partin added

“She has as good personality,” Partin said. “She’s absolutely an important part of the family. We love her.”
