Cody, an 8-month-old chocolate Labrador/Australian shepherd mix, has added energy to Michael and Lisa Hipps’ High Ridge home, the couple said.
In their submission for the Leader website’s weekly Pet Spot feature, the Hipps describe their puppy as “cuddly, funny and rambunctious.”
“He has melted our hearts and gives us so much joy,” the pair said.
However, not everyone in the household has been thrilled with Cody’s arrival, Lisa said.
“We have a cat, Blondie, and Cody is just crazy about the cat,” she said. “But, the cat just tolerates Cody. Blondie is laid back. He’s an older tabby cat. He doesn’t always appreciate the puppy.”
Still, the Hipps continue to get a kick out of Cody’s antics.
“We enjoy the puppy,” Lisa said. “He’s become part of us, for sure.”
