Jill Wolters of Imperial said her late dog, Chester, a Pomeranian, brightened her family’s lives. This photo of Chester, held by Wolters’ daughter, Jessica Scott, was taken during Christmas 2017.

“He was the sweetest dog I’ve ever had,” Wolters said. “He had a great personality. He was my first Pomeranian. Pomeranians are very good pets, good dispositions.”

She said Chester was a rescue dog.

“I got him from Open Door Animal Sanctuary (in House Springs) when he was 6,” Wolters said.

Chester died in October 2015 at age 15.

Wolters said she misses her Chester.

“He got along with everybody,” she said. “He was just a lover.”
