I caught this stop-action shot of Vinnie, my papillon, as he leapt in the air to try in vain to catch a squirrel. It was in the summer of 2013, when he was 2. One of his most favorite pastimes is chasing squirrels. The squirrels are just a little bit quicker. He’s also an excellent mole catcher.
He’s my very first inside dog. Before, I had German shepherds I kept outside. Papillons have great personalities and they’re very quick to learn.
Vinnie’s got a bigger-than-life personality. He’ll almost talk to you. He gets along with other dogs. It doesn’t matter if they’re big or small. One of his best friends is our neighbor’s German shepherd, Leroy.
Vinnie is a great dog. He’s a lot of fun.
