Mr. Scruffy will perform for treats, said his owner, Brenda Kissane, a former longtime Jefferson County resident who now lives in Oakville.
Mr. Scruffy, 8, is a wheaten terrier mix. He weighs about 25 pounds.
“He is always ready for a treat and will dance and walk on his two hind legs for a treat,” Kissane said. “He is a handsome little guy and very soft and loveable. He loves to be petted.”
Mr. Scruffy likes to go places, she said.
“He has traveled throughout the country with us in our motor home and loves walking to meet new people,” Kissane said. “He travels well. He gets along with everyone, people and pets.”
Kissane said her late husband was a well-known figure in the Arnold area.
“My husband, B.J. Nelson, was police chief of Arnold for many years (1990-1998),” she said. “He’s passed away now.”
