I took several pictures, but this was a favorite.”

The photo was taken during a visit to the St. Louis Zoo in June 2012, while Daniel, who lives in Pennsylvania, was in town for his annual visit to his grandparents. “I think every parent and grandparent has had an experience like this one,” Cindy says. Getting ready to board the train at the zoo, his family urged Daniel to visit the restroom, but he insisted he didn’t need to go. “And so, of course, as soon as the train pulls out it was ‘I gotta go!’
“You have to love the crossed legs, the expression and the restroom sign as we hurried to the bathroom as soon as the train stopped.”
