Christie Lindsey of Cedar Hill submitted photos of her husband, Jason Lindsey, who served with the Marines in Asia and the Middle East.
“He joined the Marines Feb. 14, 2000, as a combat engineer,” she says. “He was deployed to Iraq three times and fought in the battle of Fallujah in 2004. During his first and second deployments to Iraq, Jason served as a platoon sergeant for combat operations, bringing 36 men in his charge home safely. He served as the company gunnery sergeant during his third deployment, having charge of more than 370 Marines. Jason lived in Okinawa, Japan, for four years, also serving six months in Thailand for humanitarian missions.”
After serving 14 years, Gunnery Sgt. Lindsey left the Corps in 2014. He now works as a rural carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
