Festus bands: All they want for Christmas is a holiday concert
After seeing last year's holiday band concert canceled, the Festus High School band program wasn't about to make it two in a row. Enacting social distancing protocols in the stands, limiting attendance, requiring face masks (almost everyone in the audience complied) and splitting the night into two separate concerts, the bands rang in some holiday cheer. The Festus Marching Tigers led off the evening, and the Concert Band and Jazz Band provided the nightcap. The second concert ended with a vocal performance by Abby Ohlau, who fronted the Jazz Band for a rousing rendition of "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
