As many green tomatoes as you want to eat
Flour
Salt and pepper to taste
Clean and cut your tomatoes into quarter-inch slices. Roll in flour.
Cook in a quarter-inch of your favorite oil.
Joe says: This recipe sounds simple, but if you use a plate covered in flour and let your tomatoes sit in the flour on each side for a couple of minutes, you get a better coat of flour. Grandma puts her salt and pepper in with the flour. I like to use only flour, and then salt and pepper to taste after cooking.
