About 40 people took part in the De Soto Fall Festival 5K, held Sept. 20 as part of the festivities.
Trish Coleman of De Soto was the overall female winner, with a time of 20:55, and Josh Isaacson of De Soto was the overall male winner, with a time of 22:53.
Other female winners were: 19 and younger – Sarra Faust, 29:05, first; Shaye Lashley, 29:43, second; 20-29 – Kari Brooks, 26:09, first; Christy Richman, 42:14, second; 30-39 – Izzie Isaacson, 22:02, first; Melissa McAlpine, 27:45, second; Catherine Richardson, 28:43, third; 40-49 – Mary Clark, 25:54, first; Christina Lashley, 28:24, second; Liz Beck, 31:17, third; 50-59 – Pam Downs, 26:19, first; Terri Walker, 52:59, second; and 60 and older – Rita Downs, 30:55, first; Barbara Pumm, 35:58, second; Lora Welsh, 44:09, third.

Coleman and Isaacson each won a trophy and six entries in the Great Joachim Creek Duck Race.
The top three winners in the various age categories each won a medal and one entry in the duck race.
