Festus Mayor Sam Richards at the Monday, Dec. 23, Festus City Council meeting presented a plaque to Britne Howard declaring today, Dec. 24, “Britne Howard Day” in Festus.
Howard, an employee of the Imo’s Pizza restaurant, 1176 E. Gannon Drive, Festus on Nov. 13 performed CPR on a customer having a medical issue in an attempt to save his life. The man later died, but his family praised Howard for her actions and Festus officials acknowledged her for stepping up to try to assist the man.
