Tokyo Hibachi Express, a new Herculaneum restaurant, offers both Japanese and American dishes.
Manager Rudy Praseyto said the restaurant, at 1185 Scenic Drive in Scenic Plaza, specializes in sushi, as well as burgers and other menu items.
“There’s not just one specialty,” he said.
The menu includes a wide variety of sushi rolls, low mein, and hibachi-style chicken, filet mignon, scallops and shrimp. Several combination plates are offered, including hibachi steak and chicken; hibachi chicken and shrimp; and hibachi steak, chicken and shrimp.
The restaurant also serves appetizers, including dumplings, crab Rangoon, edamame, fried calamari and chicken nuggets.
The menu offers something for everyone in a family, Praseyto said.
“We’re a family restaurant,” he said.
Praseyto said he likes his location in the Scenic Plaza.
“It’s comfortable. It’s right off the highway (I-55).”
Praseyto said he is operating the restaurant with a staff or four or five.
Tokyo Hibachi Express is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
