A Dunkin' drive-thru restaurant is being built in Festus.

The Dunkin’ drive-thru restaurant under construction in Festus is expected to open in the next couple of months, franchisee partner Michael Crouch said Thursday (April 29).

“I would say sometime in July,” he said.

The 900-square foot restaurant is being built in the Festus Pointe retail complex along Veterans Boulevard (Hwy. A) next to I-55. The complex already houses Jimmy John’s and Cecil Whittaker’s restaurants.

“It (the Dunkin’ restaurant) will be strictly drive-thru, no inside service,” said Crouch, 46, of Cape Girardeau. “But, we will also have a walk-up window.”

He said the site will offer typical Dunkin’ restaurant fare, including doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, coffee and other items. He said he expects to hire 20 to 25 people to work at the restaurant.

“We’ve already started a search for a management coordinator,” he said. “We’re excited to offer jobs with flexible hours and competitive wages.”

Crouch is a partner in a franchise that owns and operates more than 30 Dunkin’ restaurants in Michigan, Ohio and Missouri, and the group has plans to open seven more in the St. Louis region over the next four years.

“We’re really excited about opening,” he said of the Festus Dunkin’ restaurant.
