The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about the theft of a handgun and other items from a home on Willow Glen Drive in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton.
The theft was reported on Sept. 8, but the victim did not know when the items were stolen, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Among the missing items was a Smith & Wesson .40-caliber handgun, a wallet with $400 cash in it and some necklaces and a ring. The items were worth approximately $1,500, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The victim told police on Sept. 8 he was looking through a dresser drawer and noticed the missing jewelry. So, he looked around and discovered that the wallet, money and gun also were missing, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
There were no signs of forced entry, and the victim had no idea how long the items had been missing, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
