Arnold Police are investigating the reported theft of a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer from a home in the first block of Bridgeview Court.
The SUV was reported stolen about 12:30 p.m. May 2 and was recovered in Jefferson County a short time later, Arnold Police reported.
It is suspected of being involved in a hit-and-run accident at about 10:40 a.m. the same day at Missouri State Road near the entrance to Woodland Manor in Arnold, the report said.
Another vehicle was stopping on Missouri State Road to turn into Woodland Manor when it was hit from behind by another vehicle suspected to be the SUV, said Detective Lt. Robert Ruckman of the Arnold Police Department.
That vehicle left the scene of the accident, according to the report.
The owner of the Blazer told police it was stolen sometime before 11 a.m. May 2.
No arrests had been made as of May 18, and the case was still under investigation, Ruckman said.
