Downey “Don” Turpen, 85, of Fenton died Nov. 28, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis County. Mr. Turpen was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth (Summers) Turpen.
Funeral services were held Dec. 4 at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill. Burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 2001 South Lindbergh, St. Louis, 63131; to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, 63132-3253; or to the Fenton United Methodist Church (Meditation Garden) 800 Gravois Road, Fenton, 63026. Arrangements were under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
