A 2026 Eureka High graduate, Baker pitched a no-hitter June 13 against Festus Post 253 in the Baseball Battles Cancer tournament in a 7-0 Post 177 (5-2) shutout. Baker struck out 11 Festus (7-5-1) batters in the complete-game. The two American Legion teams are from separate districts – Post 177 is in District 10, Post 253 is in District 13. During the spring for the 27-win Wildcats, Baker was 4-0 on the mound as part of a pitching staff loaded with DI talent.
