On his home track in Imperial, the senior captured Class 4 District 2 championships May 17 in the high jump (1.98 meters), long jump (6.65) and triple jump (13.46). Hollis also ran in the 4x100-meter relay team with William Kalisch, Kevin Holman and Tim Cossey that finished third in a school-record time of 44.05 seconds. The Owls compete in the sectional meet at Hillsboro on Saturday. Hollis was named the basketball MVP in the large-schools division of the JCAA this winter.
