Pottgen went 1 for 3 and threw out a base runner on a steal attempt Saturday night in a 4-3 victory over the Waterloo Renegades, which tied their best-of-three series in the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association playoffs at one game apiece. During the regular season, Pottgen batted .341 in league games.
