The three Jefferson County wrestlers returned home after completing undefeated state championship seasons at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia on Saturday night. Foeller won her second state championship in as many years after pinning Ste. Genevieve junior Kaylee Gross in the 166-pound final. Foeller is 81-0 in her career and handed Gross (30-3) all three losses this season. After three trips to the Class 3 state tournament and two medals, De Soto senior Landon Porter (45-0) beat Neosho senior Zane Persinger in a 7-4 decision at 285 pounds. And Northwest senior Chase Stegall (36-0) won his first state title after beating North Kansas City junior Xavier Doolin (42-1) by injury default at 3:38 for the Class 4 championship at 220 pounds. Stegall had a career record of 173-13 and captured a medal all four years with the Lions.
