Chris Schacht, center in photo, returns as head coach of the Hillsboro boys soccer team this school year. Schacht coached the Hawks for 20 years before becoming the school’s activities director in 2020. After serving as AD for four years, Schacht retired from teaching and coaching.

At its regular meeting on June 23, the Hillsboro R-3 Board of Education hired Victoria Jackson to be the head coach of the girls soccer team at the high school. Jackson and Jess Jacaty will be Schacht’s assistants for the boys. Jackson has been an assistant coach in the soccer program for six years.
