First Community National Bank in Eureka, a locally-owned, independent, community bank that has served the area since 1906, strives to help customers with their financial journey, said Samantha West, vice president, mortgage lending manager for FCNB.

For many people, West said, attaining financial success includes having a home equity line of credit – a revolving line of credit that allows people to borrow against the equity in their homes.

“It’s similar to how a credit card works but using your house as collateral,” she said.

West said there are many reasons people apply for the lines of credit, but the most common are to make home improvements or repairs; to consolidate debt and to cover unexpected expenses.

“With a (home equity line of credit) you get the funds you need quickly without refinancing your existing low-rate mortgage,” she said.

West said FCNB’s home equity line of credit offers flexibility.

“What sets us apart from the competition is our flexible approach. We offer multiple solutions to help find the best fit for each customer,” she said. “We are one of the few banks that offer a credit card to be utilized on a (home equity line of credit) loan program. This allows our customers convenient access to funds for managing renovation expenses without the need to visit the bank.”

West said customers may apply for the line of credit at any of FCNB’s six locations, each with loan officers to help with loan requests.

West said FCNB offers competitive rates. For more information about the company’s home equity line of credit, reach out to West at 573-351-0341 or swest@fcnb.com or visit fcnb.com.
