Andrea Hayes said she has done it all at Farmers & Merchants Bank, making her uniquely qualified to sit at the helm of the High Ridge branch, 1010 Crossroads Place.
She joined the community bank 21 years ago as a receptionist and has since been a teller, personal banker and lender. Now, she’s the branch manager.
“Having held a variety of roles within the bank, I bring a well-rounded perspective that allows me to effectively assist clients with all aspects of banking and lending, including personal and business deposit accounts, as well as loan solutions tailored to individual and commercial needs,” said Hayes, who grew up in House Springs.
Anyone considering buying a home or requiring other services from Farmers & Merchants can expect a “personal relationship with the banker,” Hayes said.
“I’ve worked with clients after hours who needed updated pre-approvals and things like that ASAP,” she said.
FMB’s relationships in the community – beyond the transactional nature of the bank – is vital, Hayes said. From a golf tournament to involvement with the Chamber of Commerce and the Northwest School District, employees ingrain themselves in the areas they serve.
“We know you and we know your business and are able to help you with your needs because we know who you are,” she said. “We have that deep relationship with you.”
The recent uptick in mortgage rates, Hayes said, has made some borrowers hesitant to purchase a home. Rates currently are about 6 percent.
“If you want to purchase a new home, don’t let the current rates deter you,” she said. “You could always lock in at current rates and refinance to a lower rate in the future.”
FMB formed in 1913 and currently has four branches: High Ridge, Eureka, St. Clair and Lonedell.
