While Ozarks Federal Savings and Loans has grown, they haven’t lost its community focus.
Ozarks Federal Savings and Loans began as a small community bank in 1930 in Farmington. The Festus location, at 643 North Creek Drive, opened in the 1960s.
Ryan Vangilder, vice president and loan officer, has been with the company for 17 years and said he enjoys being able to connect with local customers.
The bank remains active in the community through donations and sponsorships, he said.
“We’re involved with the community as far as donations to local groups and charities, whether it’s the food pantry or the different schools for the yearbook programs or the rocket club,” Vangilder said.
Ozarks Federal Savings and Loans also sponsored the recent Twin City Days Festival in Festus and Crystal City.
The bank specializes in residential home lending but also offers checking, saving accounts, business lending, retirement savings and more.
“We’ve really added a lot with our checking accounts and savings and money markets and CDs,” Vangilder said.
He added that even though the bank is a smaller, local bank it still offers plenty of online options for customers.
“We have all the technology that people need as far as online banking and online bill pay,” Vangilder said.
