Wayne Anthony Reiter, 70, of Festus died Aug. 8, 2022, at his home. Mr. Reiter was a member of the Knights of Columbus 1230 in Festus and was a previous member of the Elks Lodge 1721 in Festus. Born March 30, 1952, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Florence Ann (Hilmes) and Harry John Reiter.
He is survived by his wife: Jan (Stearns) Reiter of Festus; three children: Brandy (Derek) Warfel of Festus, Jason (Jaclyn) Reiter of St. Charles and Todd (Jennifer) Reiter of Festus; four siblings: Richard (Maggie) Reiter of Westfield, Ind., Dan (Robin) Reiter of Springfield, Judy (David Weiss) Burch of St. Louis and Ken (Connie) Reiter of Imperial; six grandchildren: Mackenzie, Hannah, Molly, Josie, Elise and Evan; and two step-grandchildren: Liam and Xander.
A celebration of life will be held later. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
