Virgil L. “Hank” Province Jr., 74, of Blackwell died May 11, 2014, at his home. Mr. Province was a retired carpenter. Born Dec. 27, 1939, in Irondale, he was the son of the late Dorothy O. (Riggins) Hauck and Virgil L. Province Sr.
He is survived by his wife: Karen “Sue” Province of Blackwell; a daughter: Katie (Kenny) Pyatt of Cadet; three sons: AJ (Amanda) Province of Blackwell, and Jeff Purvis and Steve (Renae) Purvis, both of Hollister; eight grandchildren: Eli, Jackson, Austin, Waylon, Steven, Rhiannon, Jamyn and Jake; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 9:30 a.m. and funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark St., in Potosi. Burial is in the Big River Cemetery in Irondale. Arrangements are under the direction of Moore Funeral Home.
