Timothy Allen Bahr, 67, of Festus

Timothy Allen Bahr, 67, of Festus died Aug. 30, 2015, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Bahr was a member of Our Lady Catholic Church in Festus, served in the Merchant Marines, formerly worked at Soundelier in Festus and was a supervisor at Lowell Manufacturing in Pacific. He was an Eagle Scout, charter member of the Festus/Crystal City Conservation Club and a recognized historian of antique fishing tackle. Born May 2, 1948, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Charles Joseph and Helen Marie (Striler) Bahr.

He is survived by two brothers: Kenneth (Donna) Bahr of Festus and Theodore (Lori) Bahr of Festus; five nieces and nephews: Kodie Marie Seidl of Festus, Cody Allen Bahr of Festus, Carley Jo Bahr of Kansas City, Christina Jo Bahr of Festus and Ryan Stewart Bahr of Festus; and one great-nephew: Cameron Seidl.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Our Lady Catholic Church, 1550 St. Marys Lane , in Festus, with Fr. Jeffrey Maassen officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made in the form of Masses. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
