Teresa Joann “Tess” Hargis, 64, of Farmington died April 27, 2022 at Fountainbleau Nursing Center in Festus. Ms. Hargis was a cosmetologist and a teacher of cosmetology. She had a fun-loving wit and charm, and could make conversation with people of all ages. She frequently shared her love of music and gardening. Born Aug. 9, 1957, in Effingham, Ill., she was the daughter of William (Eunice) Buesking of Springfield and the late Gloria (Klepzig) Buesking.
She is survived by a son: Seth (Katherine) Hargis of St. Louis; three siblings: Kathryn (Charles) Sides of De Soto, Brian Buesking of Dallas, Texas, and William (Terri) Buesking of Cleveland, Ohio; six grandchildren: Ciara, Courtney, Chelsea, Skyler, Noah and Olivia Hargis; and two great-grandchildren: Nevaeh and AnnaBell. She was preceded in death by a son: Toby Hargis.
Memorial visitation was held May 3 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus and is scheduled for Wednesday, May 4, at Brummerstedt Funeral Home, 326 E. Main St., in Stewardson, Ill. Burial is in the Stewardson Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
