Stephen J. Blow Sr., 77, of Imperial died Dec. 12, 2022, at his home. Mr. Blow was retired from the Department of Veterans Affair. He served as an SN shipmate in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was the former commander of Arnold VFW Post 2593 and chairman of the Board of Travelers Insurance Co. Born April 30, 1945, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Wilbur C. and Mary F. (Kelly) Blow.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia (Grindstaff) Blow of Imperial; two children: Stephen J. (Maryse) Blow Jr. of De Soto and Aaron Patrick (Catherine) Alexander of High Ridge; four siblings: Ronald Blow of Festus, Christine Sariego of Hillsboro, Mary (Dennis) Daugherty of De Soto and Rita (Tim) French of Jefferson City; one grandchild: Riley Ian Blow; and many other family members and friends.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Homes.
