Shirley Ann (Ragland) Venable, 82, of Arnold died Jan. 29, 2022. Mrs. Venable was a 45-plus-year member of St. David Catholic Church in Arnold. She also was a member of the “Bayshore Babes,” a neighborhood group she enjoyed. She was born Dec. 14, 1939, in De Soto, the daughter of the late Leonard C. and Mildred Eileen (Null) Fuller and the biological daughter of the late Roy Ragland.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years: David L. Venable of Arnold; five children: Nick (Karen) Venable of Arnold, Robert (Michele) Venable of St. Louis, Timothy (Carrol) Venable of Hillsboro, David (Lara) Venable of St. Louis and Dawn (Gene) Zimmermann of Arnold; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Ragland.
Visitation is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. until a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at St. David Catholic Church, 2334 Tenbrook Road, in Arnold. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Fieser Funeral Home in Fenton.
