Segundo ‘Mike’ Tolentino, 71, Festus

Segundo “Mike” Tolentino, 71, of Festus, died Oct. 10, 2022, at his home. Mr. Tolentino worked as a UPS deliveryman and was a craftsman and handyman. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and had ridden with the Patriot Guard Riders. He loved his dog, Bo. He loved traveling, especially to beaches. Born Dec. 15, 1950, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Mae (Elliott) and Segundo Pambid Tolentino.

He is survived by his wife: Donna (Jackson) Tolentino; four children: Heather (Keith) Ferrante of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Gabriel Tolentino of Park Hills, Ian (Jennifer) Tolentino of Dittmer and Malia (Brad) Roennigke of St. Louis; biological son: Steve Shelton of Hazelwood; biological grandson: Deven Shelton; six grandchildren: Maci and Micah Ferrante, Ethan, Merissa and Harley Tolentino and Grayson Roennigke; four siblings: Evangeline Groth of Sunset Hills, Elena (Larry) Withinton of Hollister, Melody Tolentino of Hollister and Philip (Carol) Tolentino of Fenton; and two siblings-in-law: Michael Stephen (Mary) Jackson of Freeburg, Ill., and Paula (Les) Dierkes of Swansea, Ill.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley (the late Don) Mumberger; a brother: Dale (Debbie) Tolentino; and a brother-in-law: William L. Groth Jr.

A celebration of life will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Calvary Christian Center, 1650 Calvary Church Road, Festus. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Old Mount Pisgah Cemetery, County Road 411 in Madison County. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Homes.
