Lee, Rubye

Ruby Marie Lee, 75, of Festus died Nov. 4, 2014, at her home.

Mrs. Lee was a chief bookkeeper for AAA American Piano and Heartland Properties Management Co., in Festus. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the choir.

Born July 5, 1939, in Pattonville, she was the daughter of the late Rubye Pearl (Powell) and Strother Crews.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years: John Lee Sr.; a son: John (Laura Abeckerle) Lee Jr. of Florissant; four daughters: Kathy (Paul) Poss of Herculaneum, Sherri (Alfredo) Hernandez of Denver, Colo., Suzanne (Ali) Al-Zubeidy of Fenton and Shelly (Chris) Nall of Kansas City; three sisters: Janet Laughlin of St. Ann, Judy Angle of Seymour, Ind., Carol Hartwig of Lake Ozark; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Wayne Norris. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hillsboro Building Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
