Rosemary Cherry, 76, of Festus died June 1, 2018, at her home. Born Dec. 2, 1941 in Kennett, she was the daughter of the late Selma (Cumpton) and Charles Jacob Summerfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles “Chuck” Cherry.

She is survived by a son: Allen (Victoria) Cherry of Washington; three daughters: Robin DeWalt of St. Louis, Rudeana (Dennis) Kirk of Palm Coast, Fla., and Stephanie (Kent) Andrews of St. Augustine, Fla.; three sisters: Bobbie Jean Ashabranner of De Soto, Mickey Kay (David) Henson of Florissant and Clippie Diane (Larry) Ward of St. Louis; two brothers: Morris Lee (Vickie) Summerfield of St. Louis and Timothy Dale Ham of Florida; two sisters-in-law: Ronda Summerfield and Evelyn Summerfield; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Charles T. Summerfield, Larry Jacob Summerfield and Danny Mack Ham; a son-in-law: Tony DeWalt; and a brother-in-law: Elliott Ashabranner.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 6, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus, followed immediately by funeral services officiated by Pastor Don Bahr. Burial will be at the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
