Roger L. Marler, 64, Bonne Terre

Roger L. Marler, 64, of Bonne Terre died Feb. 11, 2023, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County. Mr. Marler was a mechanic for Feld Truck Leasing. Born Jan. 28, 1959, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Radie Marler and Betty Marler-Schmitt.

He is survived by his stepfather: Fred Schmitt; three children: Kirstie (Tim) Brown, Sharon (Aaron) Bean and Carolyn (Robert) Rickenberger; three sisters: Rhonda (Tom) Alexander of Festus, Patricia (the late Mike) Beaman of Festus and Denise McMullan of Festus; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son: Roger Marler II.

Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Urbana. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
